Amsterdam Police Arrests Nicki Minaj (See why)
The Netherlands border police released a statement stating that superstar Nicki Minaj was detained by law enforcement at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport for having prohibited drvgs.
Representing the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, Robert Kapel confirmed the arrest of a 41-year-old American following the finding of illegal drugs during a search.
She streamed the event live on Instagram, documenting the Amsterdam police's attempt to apprehend Nicki Minaj, even though she didn't specifically mention her.
During the live stream, Nicki Minaj claimed that the pre-rolled marijuana that was found in her hands were not hers.
She initially objected to helping the police and asked for legal counsel, but in the end, she complied and got into a patrol car.
While traveling, Nicki Minaj voiced worries about making it to her upcoming Pink Friday 2 World Tour event in Manchester, England, on Saturday night.
The officer reassured her that every effort would be made to bring her there as quickly as possible.
Minaj gave more information on the encounter on Saturday, claiming that the cops had claimed to have discovered marijuana and that they required someone else to weigh the pre-rolled joints.
She emphasized that the pre-rolls were not hers; rather, her security staff had already informed the authorities as much.
Minaj also stated that she was asked to remove her Instagram post regarding the event by the pilot.
