Damian Marley ‘stole’ my weed – Seun Kuti

He revealed that he got to know Marley years earlier at a French festival, where the reggae musician "stole" his marijuana.

In a recent interview, Kuti said to Naija FM in Lagos that he gave Marley the marijuana to smoke and then handed it back to him, but that after lighting it, he "chanced" him.

“Damian Marley and I first met at a festival in South France. It was at the beginning of my career. He also had just released his sophomore breakthrough album, ‘Welcome To Jamrock’.

“We played the show together. He stole my weed. He scammed me. He said we should share it. After rolling it, I gave it to him because he insisted he would light it but after lighting it, he chanced me. I asked him to pass it back but he said he doesn’t want to share anymore,” he said.
