Daniel Regha calls out Burna Boy for saying he writes all his songs
Renowned Twitter critic and personality Daniel Regha recently brought attention to a statement made by Grammy-winning rapper Burna Boy about how he uses songwriters.
In his own words, Burna Boy composes music without the assistance of songwriters; the people credited with his songs are producers or featured performers, not writers.
According to Burna Boy, he is unique in this regard. He declared with pride that he was an Odogwu and that he wrote all of the lyrics to his songs on his own, without help from anyone else.
Quoting Burna boy’s post on X , Daniel wrote:
“Burna, this was u in 2020 giving credit to Peruzzi as a songwriter, but suddenly nobody writes for u? For the record, no one gets songwriting credit unless they co-wrote or contributed to writing the song, so you’re statement isn’t valid”.
