#EndBadGovernanceInNigeria: Activists VeryDarkMan condemns protest restrictions, accuses Nyesom Wike of intimidation
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has come under fire from Martin Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, for allegedly trying to frighten #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria demonstrators by limiting their protest to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
The protesters, who are not football players, VDM argued, had no justification for congregating at the stadium.
Otse asked President Bola Tinubu to speak with the demonstrators about their concerns just before police deployed tear gas at the Berger Roundabout in Abuja on Friday.
Along with cautioning the protesters not to use violence, he also threatened to personally denounce to the police anyone he saw acting violently.
The goal of the statewide demonstration, which got underway in Abuja and other regions of the nation on Thursday, is to raise awareness of the issues of hunger and incompetent leadership.
