Housewife reportedly pours hot water on husband’s alleged mistress

The Ondo police have detained Mrs. Esther Godwin, a housewife and food vendor, for reportedly dumping hot water on her husband's mistress.

The woman suspected of having an affair with the man, identified as Samuel Endurance, is a nursing mother, the article said.

According to reports, the housewife invited the suspected mistress to their residence in the state's Idanre Local Council Area's Olofin hamlet in Idanre and asked her to bring palm oil for her husband.

However, the mistress took the child away from Esther when she got to Esther's residence and questioned her about her marriage, which she denied.

A kettle of boiling water was reportedly carried by the woman as she hurriedly entered and left her room before pouring it over Endurance's body. The victim was taken immediately to the town's medical facilities, but she was subsequently transferred to General Hospital, Alade Idanre, where she is presently receiving treatment.

Last Saturday, the Ondo police command detained Esther, a homemaker.
