I Didn’t Learn How to Cook Before Starting ‘Cook-A-Thon’, If You Love Something, Explore It – Chef Dammy Opens Up
Before attempting to beat the record for the longest single cooking session, Chef Dammy said that she had not taken any specific cooking training.
The 22-year-old student claimed during her media interview with a radio station that she did it out of passion.
Dammy, whose real name is Damilola Adeparusi, admitted to the radio host that she had never taken a cooking class or learnt to cook.
She believes that learning happens when a person is engaged in something they enjoy.
I didn't go culinary school, she claimed. I never got the hang of cooking. If you're passionate about something, learn about it.
Guinness World Records has since said that Dammy did not apply before attempting to beat the cookery record held by her countrywoman, Hilda Baci.
A magazine claims that GWR acknowledged in response to a question that they never received an application from the chef headquartered in Ekiti.
They said:
“We have not received an application for this attempt. Applications can be made via the Guinness World Records website for our records management team to review.
“Once an application is accepted, the record claimant reoceives a set of detailed guidelines specific to that record category that must be adhered to.
