He made this bold claim while remixing TitoM and Yuppe's hit South African song "Tshwala Bam."

The remix was published last week, and in its first verse, the crooner known as "African Giant" openly declared that he is the godfather of Nigerian music.

Burna Boy has made no secret of his claim to be the godfather of the Nigerian music scene.

Years ago, after winning a Grammy, he declared himself the “blueprint” for the Nigerian music industry, which caused controversy.

In the past, his colleague Davido has also shown his dominance over Afrobeats.

In his fourth studio album, "Timeless," Davido declared himself to be the godfather of the Nigerian music scene on the song "Godfather."
