I'm Not Singing That - Aisha Yesuf as She Refuses To Stand During The Rendition Of The New National Anthem
Nigerian politician and activist Aisha Yesufu has openly rejected the country's newly official anthem, "Nigeria We Hail Thee."
In a video that's currently going viral on social media, an activist at an event made the decision to sit during the new anthem's recitation, while others stood.
The majority of the audience in the footage were taken aback by Aisha's act.
"Not my anthem," Aisha said on her official X feed, captioning a short clip that caught the moment.
