‘I’m Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido’s godfather’ – Oritsefemi
The Nigerian musician Oritsefemi Majemite Ekele, better known by the stage name Oritsefemi, has declared that he is the godfather of Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and the rest of his colleagues.
He claimed that even before they gained notoriety, he was already making money from music.
He claims that he pushed the group to perform music.
Oritsefemi stated in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo,
“I had already made money [from the music industry] when some people were sleeping [yet to come into limelight].
“Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, so many of them [young artists], I encouraged them. I’m like their godfather.
“Even some female celebrities who are now trolling me on social media, I accommodated them in my mansion in Lekki back in the days. Even Burna Boy, I once accommodated him.”
