Jay Z And Beyonce Reportedly Buys The Most Expensive House In California's History
Jay-Z and Beyoncé have broken a real estate record with the purchase of their new home, with the $200m deal the most expensive in California’s history, according to reports.
According to sources, H.O.V and Beyoncé set the record for the most expensive home sale in California history when they paid $200 million for their new house.
The celebrity pair closed a contract on the 30,000 square foot mansion in Malibu, California, on Friday, May 19, according to the original report from TMZ. According to the outlet, the sale of the estate, which is situated in a neighborhood known as Billionaires' Row and overlooks the Pacific Ocean, breaks the previous record for the most expensive residence ever sold in the state, which was $177 million and set in 2021.
The residence, which was built entirely out of concrete and was designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, is claimed to have cost the couple less than its initial asking price of $295 million, according to TMZ.
The son of the writers of the soap operas Bold and Beautiful and The Young and the Restless, Bill Bell Jr., is said to have built and formerly owned the California mansion, according to real estate publication The Real Deal.
The estate's Zillow page discloses that it has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, despite the fact that little is known about the interior of the home.
