Netizens reacts as throwback post of Burna Boy’s dissing Davido resurfaces amidst ‘new cat’ tag

Netizens have come out in support of the Afrobeat singer Davido Adeleke after Burna Boy's old-school diss tweet appeared amid accusations that he was a fresh cat.

O.B.O recently referred to a self-described African Giant and other top vocalists in the entertainment industry as a "new cat" in an interview.

However, internet users came upon a 2018 Snapchat post from Burna Boy in which he made the implication that Davido is only alive because his father has the money to pay for a job in the entertainment industry even though he cannot sing.

He stated, "You cannot play football; everyone knows this; you are a disgrace to the team; however, your father purchased the football team."

The retro-diss has since caused controversy among fans of both performers; while some defended it as fair play, others denounced it as unwarranted.
