‘Olu Jacobs is alive’ – Betty Irabor, family debunk reports of Nollywood actor’s death
Betty Irabor, the founder of Genevieve Magazine, denied rumors circulating that Olu Jacobs, a veteran of Nollywood, has passed away.
Social media was filled with rumors that the veteran actor had died on Sunday at the age of 82.
It had been some time since Jacobs's dementia battle.
Irabor, however, tweeted: "Olu Jacobs is well and alive. Please ignore all rumours of his passing.”
A video that the actor's family released points to Jacobs' survival.
Speaking last year, Joke Silva, Jacob's wife, claimed that her husband had undergone substantial changes as a result of his illness.
She said: “It hasn’t been easy. There was a point of acceptance for me that everything happening is reality and it is like the person I married, 80 per cent of the time is no longer there.”
