Sabicoin: Sabinus Launches Digital Currency
Comedian Sabinus is now the second Nigerian celebrity to establish a digital currency, Sabicoin, in the past month.
Recall that a few weeks ago, Afrobeat artist Davido Adeleke debuted his token, $Davido, which caused controversy because some of his fans had lost money.
In a recent post on the X platform, Sabinus revealed that social media memes that go popular and investor instinct have had an impact on his digital currency.
“Sabicoin is a digital currency inspired by the Investor himself, Sabinus and the popular use of his memes on several social media platforms,” he stated.
Despite the effect, supporters voiced anxiety as many struggled to recover their losses on the $Davido currency.
