Before being led to his car, Trump appeared injured and had visible blood on his cheek and ear. Since his representative has not commented, it is unknown where he is going or how he is doing.

The occasion happened two days prior to Trump's expected acceptance of his party's presidential candidacy at the Republican National Convention.

Unaware of the situation, President Joe Biden was vacationing at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. When asked by a reporter if he had received a briefing on the circumstances surrounding the previous president Trump. "No," was his reply.

Additionally, the White House has not commented on the matter.
