The controversy started a few years ago when Mercy Johnson received a congratulations letter from Eniola Badmus regarding the alleged birth of her fourth child.

Davido took the chance to air his concerns, calling the pair "wicked people" and reluctantly offering his congrats.

Davido curtly said, "Just evil set of People," when a worried fan questioned him about the motivation behind his hateful remark. This left many perplexed and wondering about the underlying dispute.

This hostility stems from Davido's purported inability to follow through on a commitment to attend the luxury hotel business of the Okojies, Henod Luxury Hotels, in Abulegba, Lagos.

Davido, who was on tour in America at the time, had announced his attendance on his Instagram page, but he never showed up, disappointing both the guests and the organizers.

According to reports, Mercy Johnson and Prince Odi later sued Davido for not showing up, claiming that they had an agreement breached.

Reaching Davido's management team was impossible since, according to reports, they stopped returning calls, which made matters worse.
