Suspect Confesses After Arrest, Reveals Why He Stole N55 Million Benz During Test Drive

A fleeing suspect who was caught by police on Thursday gave an account of why he stole a Mercedes Benz GLB 250 4MATIC car during a test drive in Abuja that was worth more than N55 million.

According to prior reports, the car was taken on June 30 in Abuja and was found on July 3 in a bush close to Oteriroad by Doctors Quarters Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

A 25-year-old suspect named Meshach Siunuphro was subsequently detained in Benin City, Edo State.

Siunuphro claimed to have been hypnotized and identified herself as a 300-level business administration student in Turkey. He went on to say that he was interested in forex trading and that he wanted to buy the car for his own usage.

During the suspect's march, Delta Police PRO Bright Edafe took advantage of the situation to warn auto dealers and owners about a new criminal strategy to steal cars from individuals.

He advised people who bring their automobiles to car wash facilities to never give the employees their keys.
