VDM: ‘Come and arrest me too’ – Seun Kuti to Iyabo Ojo

This comes after the actress said in a recent interview that Kuti was one of the people who helped notorious self-described social media activist, VeryDarkMan, become a problem online.

Rejecting the label of "confusionist," Kuti asserted that Ojo was "an oppressor." He claimed that his only objection to Ojo's arrest of VDM was not their argument on social media.

In an audio clip posted on his Instagram page, Kuti declared, "I'm not a confusionist." And I never objected to you fighting VeryDarkMan. All I said was, you shouldn't be putting people in jail.

“If you’re angry I said you shouldn’t use the police to oppress people, please, don’t be angry. Continue to be an oppressor. Use the police to arrest everyone. In fact, come and arrest me too. You guys are the billionaires, the owners of Nigeria, if you get angry, everywhere will explode. So don’t be angry.

“I apologise for myself and on behalf of VeryDarkMan. Please, don’t flex your power. [Hisses] Nonsense!”
