‘Why I feel honoured to experience prison’ – Tems
Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, a Grammy-winning Nigerian singer has called her imprisonment in a Ugandan jail a "blessing in disguise."
The "Crazy Things" singer claimed that she was honored to have visited a prison.
Tems clarified that if she hadn't gone through the experience herself, she wouldn't have understood what inmates were going through.
She emphasized how her time in prison had made her more humble.
“Prison was once in a lifetime experience that I actually feel honoured to have had because otherwise, I would never have thought about these people, and to be in their presence was very humbling,” Tems told ES Magazine.
