Actor Jimi Solanke to be Buried on Friday
on Friday, April 5, Jimi Solanke, a veteran Nigerian actor, will be laid to rest in an unknown cemetery. His family members affirmed their preparations for his burial on Tuesday.
The Methodist Church Nigeria in Ipara-Remo, Ogun State, will host the funeral service.
At the age of 81, Solanke passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024.
On Monday, April 1, 2024, a choral concert at Ibudo Asa, Ipara Remo, will kick off the week-long events. In addition, there will be candlelight processions at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, and Ipara-Remo, Ogun State, as well as a night of tribute at Freedom Park, Lagos.
Among the events scheduled for Saturday, April 6, are cultural and masquerade presentations.
A thanksgiving celebration will mark the conclusion of the burial activities on April 7, 2024.
