Fire Burns Lagos Plaza to Ashes
On Tuesday, a shopping center located at Ogundana Street on Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos State, was completely destroyed by fire.
Videos showing the fierce flames and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service’s attempts to put out the fire erupted on social media sites, especially X (previously Twitter).
In an attempt to stop additional damage and the loss of assets, firefighters battled the fire while a chaotic scene was captured on camera by one user, #waledaniel_.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service responded admirably, according to the X user, as they put in great effort to contain the crisis and lessen the risk to surrounding people and property.
The source of the fire is still a mystery.
