Education Falsified JAMB Result: Anambra schoolgirl Mmesoma Ejikeme finally accepts 249 as her UTME score
Mmesoma Ejikeme, the candidate who is currently facing difficulties with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has admitted to getting a score of 249 on the UTME for 2023.
Ejikeme, a student at the Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra State, was initially criticized by the examination organization on Sunday for deliberately raising her score in order to be awarded a N3 million scholarship by Innoson Motors.
Both the student and her parents denied the allegations, claiming that Ejikeme has always been a brilliant student who is incapable of falsifying her results. Ejikeme has since come to terms with the fact that her real score was 244, and she should not be held responsible for how the situation turned out. On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, the young girl made this clear when she appeared on Sunrise Daily on Channels Television. She claimed that she was not to blame for the error. After seeing a 362 on her UTME result slip, the 19-year-old claimed to have received the highest score ever recorded by JAMB. But JAMB disagreed with the result, emphasizing that she had falsified it. The claims and denials made by Mmesoma and JAMB sparked intense debate throughout Nigeria. In the midst of the controversy, the board insisted that she had falsified the outcome using a template that it had stopped using as of 2021. Mmesoma acknowledged the error in the initial result but insisted she shouldn’t take the blame.
“After all said and done, I now saw that I got 249. “I sent them a text message there to know what really happened — the JAMB Support System. If they go to their system, they will see it there.”
She also faulted JAMB’s three-year ban on her, stressing that it was not her fault. “It’s not my fault that I printed my result like that, and they said that I forged my result. It’s not my fault. So, them banning it is not fair,” she said. Finally, JAMB Officially Releases Ejikeme Joy’s “Original” Result The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result slip. This comes after a heated debate concerning her 362 score, which was allegedly manipulated and fabricated. On Sunday, July 2, JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, accused Ejikeme of physically manipulating her UTME results in order to receive a N3 million scholarship from Innoson Motors. During an interview on Channels TV on Tuesday, July 4, Benjamin presented Ejikeme’s JAMB results, which revealed that the student from Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra state, got 249 on the exam, according to TheCable. The JAMB UTME result differs from the result slip shown by Mmesoma, which claimed she scored 362. See the post below: This is coming shortly after the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) revealed ways in which candidates inflate their 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
