Entertainment Nigerian wig-maker, Helen Williams, sets date to break Guinness world record for longest handmade wig

The day has been set for Helen Williams' attempt to break the world record for the longest hand-made wig. Williams, a wigmaker from Nigeria, recently had her application accepted by Guinness World Records.

A screenshot of the GWR email confirming the clearance of her application for the record was recently published by the CEO of Hair Rita 9ja.

Williams used her expertise as a wigmaker, wig instructor, and educator to communicate her excitement about taking on the challenge of creating the Longest Handmade Wig in the World. The precise date of the momentous event has now been made public by her. On Friday, July 7, the attempt is planned at 767 Lagos Abeokuta Expressway, next to Area 1 Estate Gate. She shared and wrote:

“I was approved by Guinness World Records Few Weeks Ago for ‘Longest Wig In The World Attempt’. Initially, I didn’t want to announce it yet. I hope you all will support me.”

“As a Wigmaker, Wig Instructor and Educator, I will be taking up this challenge of making “The Longest Handmade Wig In the World”. This time I am not just making a wig but the Longest Handmade Wig In The World. According to Silvia Pencak ” Victories Aren’t Born On The Field, You Create them during Practice, Day In and Day Out”.
