#EndBadGovernanceInNigeria: We Will Boycott Any Nigerian Celebrity Who Fails To Join Us In This Protest – Nigerians
The state-wide protests have intensified as anger at Nigerian celebrities' silence in the face of the nation's economic woes has simmered.
As the much anticipated #EndBadGovernance demonstrations broke out in all 36 states as well as the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Thursday, tensions increased throughout the country.
August 4, 2024, marks the start of the fourth day of the "#10DaysOfRage," an ongoing demonstration against the status quo.
A viral video has taken the internet by storm in the midst of this critical situation. It shows an angry mob of protestors yelling profanity at famous people who, in this fight for economic fairness, have notably remained mute.
The infuriated individuals did not back down. They demanded an online reckoning, threatening to unfollow and break off contact with any celebrity who had failed to express compassion or voice their concerns on social media or the streets.
The demonstrators are clearly furious as they call these celebrities self-serving liars who have turned their backs on the very fans who made them famous. They are urging more people to participate in the boycott.
