Verydarkman Arrested Again

Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman, a social media influencer and critic, has been remanded in police detention by a Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday.

The social media critic was reportedly previously charged with five offenses related to cyberstalking by the Nigeria Police Force.

His attorney, Deji Adeyanju, requested release; however, the prosecution requested an extension from Federal High Court Judge Mobolaji Olajuwon, which caused the court to postpone the bail hearing to May 29.

The well-known social media critic was being prosecuted by the police, and they wanted to detain him in prison; however, his attorneys filed an application to remain in police custody.

After their motion was approved by the court, he was brought to the National Cybercrime Center.
Keep in mind that the same critic was placed on remand in March 2024 for same cyberbullying act.

Since January of this year, the 27-year-old, who is well-known for dipping into contentious matters, has been at the center of attention.
