How I left a show crying after audience didn’t recognise me – Fireboy
The Nigerian musician Adedamola Adefolahan, better known by his stage as Fireboy DML, has related how he cried as he left a performance he went to because no one seemed to notice or care about him during the audition. The "Peru" crooner said that the incident took place when he was still a struggling musician. Fireboy DML mentioned in an interview with Billboard News that obstacles are faced by all budding artists.
He said, “Every upcoming artiste always go through a lot of stuff.
“There was a show I went to perform and nobody even knew I was on stage or spared me a second glance. Everybody was just dancing.
“The DJ was just DJing. I felt invisible and I went back to the car with my friend crying.
“I told myself never again. I will never ask for something until I feel like I deserve it.”
